An amount of £215 left from the Alston Moor Summer playscheme from the early 1990s, that was held at Samuel King’s school, was presented to the Trustees of Fairhill Recreation Ground for the Fairhill Pump track being fundraised for at the moment. "The money left should go the Bike Track as it should benefit the children that use the park" said Jocelyn Hattersley from the Playscheme group. The money was presented to Linda Farrar and Ken Little, Trustees of Fairhill Recreation Ground at the recent Fairhill Bike Ride around Alston.
